Land / Earth Art

Land/Earth Art: Developed in the mid to late 20th century, Land Art expands on the concepts of traditional visual and installation art. It’s typically characterized by being made/sculpted directly into the landscape. This can incorporate soil, rocks or sticks, or on a larger scale natural features such as jetties or rivers. Land Art is focused on concerns over the commercialization of art and is aligned with ecological movements.
