One of the hardest things to do with an image is to build a world. This is Champagne from my Fairytale series. Glamour creates an allure, an attraction that we want to know more about: who are these people, and what world are they living in? When Champagne was discovered by accident Dom Perignon yelled to his friends, “Come quickly I am tasting the stars.” Who knows if that really happened but I love to imagine it did. It took a lot to bring this together as a color photograph is never an accident; it requires a plan and this was no exception. I designed this to hang perfectly on a wall so each color would pop off the wall. This was taken on an 8 by 10 camera and the detail of every single fabric is perfect for all to see.
