“Home” represents acceptance. Acceptance to receive love, to understand pain, to learn from all of life’s lessons. Happiness then becomes something that is attainable when you can accept the things in the past and move forward into the future. There is a house on the hill, love in front of our eyes, and a sense of “holding on” within the intertwined figures. Colorless, the flowers represent the past but also signify the present fading. With acceptance, the home(or happiness), can become reality. Backstory: This piece was completed shortly after my big breakup of 10 years, back in 2019. I was in so much pain it was hard to appreciate the beautiful love from others during the healing process. This piece represents that sort of "light at the end of the tunnel". Whatever that idea of "Home" may be.
