In the Window of Sothebys London Sold for 22,750 GBP Sotheby's sale, Erotic: Passion and Desire Online from 5–12 February includes a work by renowned photographer Tyler Shields. Considered the Andy Warhol of his generation, Shields has produced images that play with notions of the gaze, power structures, hyper-realism, iconoclastic-tendencies and cinematographic practice, but his Mouthful series of works are among his best known. Sotheby's spoke to him to find out more about his work. A series of thoughts, images and sensations that occur in the mind. That is the definition of a dream. To me this print represents that a sensation of an image. I had a dream about this before I ever took it, I dreamed of my work being on the main wall of the largest auction, house in the world, but what happens when a dream comes true, do you stop? No it means you only dream bigger and do better! Never stop believing that what you want is possible, don’t try and accomplish today what it takes a year to do, be patient and it will come.
