It doesn’t get any better than this. Photographing Janis on white was actually fairly technical and required extreme precision. When your subject is the same color as your background, it is very easy for the edges to get lost in the shared hue-- perfect lighting is key. The image couldn’t have turned out better though (and comical, to boot). Janis’ silly expression was the perfect juxtaposition to our serious-faced attempts to get “the shot” and was a playful reminder to not take life too seriously.
