High Park Bull

Whoa, Bull. In my years of photographing wild animals, I’ve learned to command their attention with various sounds—but Murphy’s reaction was unprecedented. My usual bull call, far from a gentle "moo," usually works, but Murphy was different. Confronted by Murphy’s lethal horns, I instinctively used the familiar call. Instantly, his ears perked, and his gaze locked onto me. I managed a few quick shots before he ominously lowered his head, still eyeing me, shaking with a clear warning. The wrangler's urgent advice, “Don’t make that sound unless you want to get killed,” was well noted. Walking away unscathed, I realized this encounter captured the sheer dominance of Murphy and, by extension, all bulls.
