Nature certainly has a way of stopping us in our tracks. Not only are Prism’s colors impossible to comprehend, but the incredible shapes and patterns painted across his plumage are similar to an abstract artwork hanging in a museum. I like to play with visual angles to create new and interesting perspectives for viewers. Shooting Prism from the top created an interesting juxtaposition of parts, with the yellow-gold feathers on his head looking almost like a slicked-back coif of hair.
