Snowflake is a kid at heart. Having been raised around children on the farm, she quickly took on their enthusiastic energy and zest for adventure. Snowflake loves to run through tall grass and break out into joyful cow calls at a moment’s notice. Her snow-white coat creates a fitting sense of innocence, which endeared me to her throughout our time together. Snowflake’s session was an intricate exercise in photographing white on white—a process that is harder than meets the eye. Her portrait required meticulous attention to detail in order to ensure that every subtle tone and texture was accurately and beautifully represented without blending into the background.
