Barbados Blackbelly Sheep
Medium: Digital C-Print on Archival Photographic Paper
Year: 2018
Octavius was a vocal fella—to put it mildly. One thing I’ve learned from photographing sheep is how loud their “bahs” really are. In fact, piercing might be a better word, especially in an open studio with metal walls and echoes for days. His crooked expression in this portrait immediately reminded me of the sheepish smiles my kids give right before they do something silly. Don’t stop being silly, Octavius, but could you keep it down a little?
