Buddy was born a twin, which is extremely rare for Giraffes, so consequently a person had to bottle feed Buddy as a baby to make sure he received the proper nutrition. Because of this, he grew up with so much attention and became very comfortable with people. As you can imagine he also became very popular. Buddy was sweet and a delight to work with on set and his loving owners are heavily involved in Giraffe conservation and education.
