Brenninsteinsalda Volcano
Medium: Archival Pigment Platine Print
Year: 2022
Sigöldugljúfur Canyon is located in South Central Highlands. The recent appearance of this majestic canyon is linked to the nearby Sigalda hydroelectric plant built in the late 1970s. The power station dammed the Tungnaá River and altered the underlying land, ultimately revealing this fantastical, meandering geography. I enjoy the lovely alternating soft turquoise blues, lush mossy greens, and natural slate-gray tones.
