"Fashion brands like Chanel have always paired well with fine art. Most artists find ways to incorporate these fashion brands into their artworks in unique ways to bring the viewer joy and curiosity. I wanted to create an image that reminds me of my early days as a photographer and produce something that has an elevated and sophisticated look. This image was created in a downtown environment after we found a gorgeous Gray horse on a local farm to be trailered into a massive photo studio. The trainers and owners were with me as we groomed the horse and found a way to bring together this vision of high-fashion meets equestrian. Simple yet powerful, it takes me back to my past life working in LA & NYC as a fashion photographer while exploring my love for horses. This photo was captured on an old film camera where I only had one exposure to get this shot. Patience would be my ally in this situation. We waited for the horse’s conformation and with a quick motion as her ears went forward I pressed the shutter. This was a one-and-done type of scenario in a setting like this and I am thrilled with the final image."
